Driver is logged in the Driver App but is not locating on the Dispatch Board

If the driver is not being located on the Dispatch Board, navigate to Drivers in Dispatch Science Back Office and open the driver.

Verify that Location Service is Enabled. 

If Location Service is set to Enabled but the Last position update is either - or at a previous date/time, the Driver App Location Service is set to While Using the App. The location will not track unless the driver app is in the foreground therefore it is important to have the Location service set to Always Allow.


Dispatch Science can only track the driver position on the Dispatch Board when the Driver App Location Service is set to Always. 

Note: The driver will still be able to deliver packages.


If you want to see your driver position on the Dispatch Board, instruct the driver to change the Driver App Location Service to Always in Settings.


Change Location Service on Driver App to Always on IOS

Find Settings on your phone




 In Settings, scroll down until you find Privacy.

Open Privacy then open Location Services and make sure Location Services is turned on.

Scroll in the list of applications until you find the Driver App then open it.

Select Always then Back. You can then close the Settings.








Change Location Service on Driver App to Always on Android

Find Settings on your phone.

In Settings, find Connections. 

Open Connections and scroll down to Location. Make sure Location is turned on.


Return to Settings by clicking on < Connections or previous window

 


In Settings, scroll down to Apps (Default apps, App permissions).

Open Apps then scroll down until you find the Driver App.



Open the Driver App then scroll down until you see Permissions (Camera, Location, and Storage).

Open Permissions and turn on Location.
