Negative Driver Commission and Settlement Values

Modified on Thu, 27 Aug at 11:03 AM

Driver commission and settlement amounts can be configured to display and record negative values when the calculated total is below $0. This allows the system to accurately represent adjustments, corrections, and fee-driven deductions that result in a negative commission or settlement balance.

Enabling Negative Values

This setting is disabled by default and must be enabled for the tenant.

To enable this feature, contact the Support team.

How Negative Values Are Applied

When the setting is enabled:

  • Negative amounts can be entered manually when using Flat Rate or Commission % on orders and order templates.
  • Negative values can result from extra fee calculations.
  • Driver settlements can have a negative balance when deductions exceed total earnings.
  • For driver settlements with a negative total commission:
    • Percentage deductions are displayed as positive values.
    • Percentage additions are displayed as negative values.

Allowing negative commission and settlement values provides greater flexibility and accuracy when calculating driver compensation, particularly in situations involving adjustments, corrections, or deductions that exceed total earnings.
