Ways to Copy an Order

Orders can be duplicated or used to create new types of related orders, such as return or continuation orders. The copy menu offers the following options:

1. Create an Order with the Same Account

  • Uses the same account and caller as the original order.

  • If a default pickup contact is assigned to the caller, it will be used; otherwise, the Pickup section will be blank.

  • All other fields will use the default values of the account.

2. Create a Duplicate Order

  • Copies the entire order, including all sections.

  • The "Ready At" and Delivery Window fields will also be copied if they are in the future. If the time is in the past, the "Ready At" will be updated to Now.

3. Create a Return Order

  • Reverses the pickup and delivery addresses (delivery becomes pickup and vice versa).

  • Summary details, reference fields (1, 2, 3), and the "Ready At" / Delivery Window are copied (time adjusted to Now if in the past).

  • Attributes and notifications are copied.

  • Required ID, Collect on Delivery, and Partial COD will default to account settings.

4. Create a Continuation Order

  • Uses the same account and caller.

  • The delivery address of the original order becomes the pickup in the new order; delivery address is left blank.

  • Summary, attributes, and notifications are copied.

  • Reference fields (1, 2, 3) are copied.

  • Required ID, Collect on Delivery, and Partial COD use the account defaults.

5. Create an Order with the Same Pickup

  • Uses the same account and caller.

  • Pickup address is copied; delivery address is blank.

  • Other fields use account defaults.

6. Create an Order with the Same Delivery

  • Uses the same account and caller.

  • Both pickup and delivery addresses are copied.

  • Other fields use account defaults.
