Order Import

New multi-account import

When selecting to Import an Order file, you may now import Orders for multiple accounts in a single import file. Simply specify the Account User in the Import User Name field of the Standard Mapping File (column V).

Standard Order Import with Items

Standard import file now includes items. You can now specify the following fields when importing Orders:

Item_Parcel Type Id

Item_Description

Item_Weight

Item_Length

Item_Width

Item_Height

Item_Barcode Template

See new format for Order Import with Items with examples at the end of this article.

Note: The Standard order import template can still be used without the additional columns if items are not required in the import.

Recurring Orders and Order Templates

On the Recurring Order List and the Order Templates list, you can now use filters on the columns.

Skip Recurring Orders on Holidays

Recurring orders can be skipped on holidays.

Note: On deployment, all recurring orders will be set to Allow Order Creation on Holidays to keep current functionality.
1) Setup Holidays in Settings (for more information, see Setup Holidays)

2) Open Orders then open Recurring Orders.

3) In Recurrence List, click on a Recurrence.

4) In the Recurrence details, check/uncheck Allow Order Creation on Holidays

5) Click on Save to save the change.

Driver Profile

In Version 1.21, you were able to start setting up the Information Profile for the drivers. This information is now available on the new Driver App (version 1.22 which should be released shortly after Dispatch Science version 1.22).

You should set your own rules for information you want drivers to view and maintain with respect to their individual profiles. The fields drivers can manage are: their photo, fields in the Basic Information Section, Home address information, Vehicle information, and their Information Details. See driver card for full list of fields in each section.

Do this by creating your own Drivers > Information Profile

You must then attach an Information Profile to each Driver Profile Driver

Driver Payout

Drivers can now receive commissions even if the driver did not do a pickup on the order as long as he does the delivery.

Drivers

A new stop optimization mode is available: Scheduled Optimization

Unlike Delivery Optimization, Scheduled Optimization disregards the From Time on the Pickup and Delivery windows. Instead it uses the To Time to determine the most optimal route.

Scheduled Optimization ignores the driving distance and does not attempt to reduce lateness. Rather, it optimizes to achieve Pickup and Delivery Due Times.

For a driver generally performing Scheduled work rather than On-Demand deliveries, this optimization mode will provide better results. Consult your Dispatch Science advisor if you are uncertain which Optimization Mode to use.

You can set the Driver’s optimization mode on their Driver setup screen, in the Driver options section.

Accounts

Salesperson Commission Setup

It is now possible to select and set any User (not just a Salesperson) as a named Salesperson within the Sales Commission section of an Account.

Account Taxes

For companies charging sales tax on deliveries, it is now possible to set an Exempt status on selected taxes. Once a tax has been set as Exempted, you can simply select that tax on any account which would be tax free.

If needed, you may request this option by emailing support@dispatchscience.com and indicate the required account.

Self Serve

Order List

On My Orders, users now have access to the search bar, the date filter, the filter on the list as well as the Clear All Filters if a filter is used.

User will also be able to modify their columns as was available on the Back Office.

2 columns were added: Picked Up and Delivered.

Children Accounts

Switching between Children Accounts has been simplified. User can open My Account and simply click on the Switch Account to be redirected to the list of Children Accounts. Simply click on the Account to view.

Custom Login Page

You can now customize your Dispatch Science login page.

Go to Settings > Brandings > New Branding

Your default image and button color selection will be those specified in your Company: All Companies and Account: All Accounts

Dispatch Board

Driver Details

You may request to enable the new Workload feature on the drivers. To enable this feature, the manual optimize will be turned off. You can request to have this feature turned on by sending an email to support@dispatchscience.com with your site URL.

When turned on, this feature will allow you to see the status of each Drivers’ last route optimization on the Stop List of the Driver Details on the Dispatch Board as well as his workload.

When the icon to the right of the Last optimization time is greyed-out, the optimizer is running. Once it becomes clickable, you may click it to manually force a reoptimization of that driver’s route.

Routes

If a Driver already carrying Orders is assigned a Route, those Orders will be moved before or after the Route’s Orders. In other words, the assigned Routed Orders will not be interspersed amongst the Orders previously assigned to the Driver.

The Driver’s routed stop sequence will remain the same. While the list of orders assigned to a driver can change, the sequence of Routed stops will remain the same and no longer reoptimize once dispatched and Route orders will automatically be set as assigned/accepted by driver once a route is dispatched to a driver.

A driver can now have a single route assigned for a given period, and may not receive overlapping routes. For example, if a driver has a route scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. a second route starting at 10 a.m. cannot be assigned to him.

It is now possible to move an order to the next route or change it to an On-Demand order on dispatched routes. Simply find indicate in the Route Container date filter the Route date to see it. You can then click on it to visualize it.

In the route, you can click on the  to open the order menu then select to convert to on-demand or move the order to the next route.

Administration

Dispatcher Role With No Price Visibility

New internal security role: Dispatcher (no price). The Dispatcher (no price) will not see any sales prices, Delivery Charges, Extra Fees, Fuel, or any other customer-facing selling prices. These amounts are masked to these users throughout the Backoffice and the Dispatch Board.
