Note: The phone date and time should be set to the same date and time as the company.
OS/Android version minimum requirement
The Driver App can be installed on IOS version 10 or above, Android version 5.1 or above.
New Features
Some modifications will be needed in Dispatch Science to give drivers access to some of the new features. This will be indicated in each feature.
Company Name in Contact Address
The contact company, which was added in Dispatch Science in version 1.15, is now visible in Stop details and Order details as part of address line 2:
Open Order Details from Stop Details
The order details can be opened from the stop details to see information about the pickup and delivery buy tapping on the > to the right of the order number:
Once in order details, you can view the pickup and delivery information by tapping the < Stop Detail link in the header.
Order Item Information
In previous version, the order weight and number of items were displayed on the driver app.
In this release, you can see additional information on the item.
Scroll down to the Items section to view the number of pieces, weight and volume of the order:
Tapping on the > shows Items Details and will display, the item type, the weight, dimension and if entered the barcode and description.
The pencil is available if driver is given access to the Add, Edit, Delete Parcel on his/her profile. For more information, please see
Add/Edit/Delete Parcel on Order
Driver can add/edit/delete a parcel to an order if his/her driver profile has the Add, Edit, Delete Parcel checked.
Depending on the order's account profile, the process of adding an item to an order may differ if an Add Item Workflow is associated to the profile.
Add a Parcel Without Add Item Workflow
1) On the Stop Detail, clicking on the Items > will open the Order Items Details.
2) In the Order Items Details, click on Add Item
3) The item information will show with a parcel type which can be changed and the associated weight and dimension of parcel type if setup.
Tap the > beside the Parcel type name to open the list of available parcel type and tap on the parcel type to add.
Tap on the barcode to open the camera and scan the barcode. You can also use the keyboard icon to type in the barcode.
Tap on the Weight to open the numeric keyboard and enter the weight
Tap on the Width to change the width if available for the selected parcel type. Repeat for height and lenght.
Tap the camera to add a picture. Select camera, take a picture, tap Use Photo and enter a note if desired.
Tap on Done in top right corner to add the picture.
Repeat if you need to take additional pictures of the parcel.
Tap into Description field and enter a description if desired.
Once you are done, click on Save in the upper right corner to save the new parcel to the order or Cancel if you do not want to save the new parcel type.
From the list of parcel, you can add a new parcel or return to the Stop Detail.
Edit a Parcel Without Add Item Workflow
1) On the Stop Detail, clicking on the Items > will open the Order Items Details.
2) In the Order Items Details, click on the pencil beside the parcel to edit
3) In the Item Information, edit the fields.
4) Once you are done, click on Save in the upper right corner to save the new parcel to the order or Cancel if you do not want to save the new parcel type.
5) From the list of parcel, you can add a new parcel or return to the Stop Detail.
Delete a Parcel Without Add Item Workflow
1) On the Stop Detail, clicking on the Items > will open the Order Items Details.
2) In the Order Items Details, click on the pencil beside the parcel to edit
3) In the Item Information, tap Delete Item at the bottom of the screen
4) Tap on Ok to delete the item or Cancel to keep it.
5) Tapping Cancel keeps you in the Item Edit, tapping OK returns you to the list of Parcels where you can return to the Stop Details.
Add/Edit a Parcel With an Add Item Workflow
1) On the Stop Detail, clicking on the Items > will open the Order Items Details.
2) In the Order Items Details, click on Add Item to add a new item or click on the pencil to edit it the parcel
3) You will go through the workflow steps.
Example of workflow steps
Note: By clicking on the <Back in the top left corner of the screen, you will return to the previous task.
Taping on Next or Skip, depending if step is optional, moves to the next task in the workflow.
Save is only available in the last task. This will add the new parcel to the order with the information entered.
Cancel is only available in the first task and allows you to cancel the addition of a parcel.
There are different type of tasks:
Selection from a drop-down, text entry, barcode scan, selection from a task group, addition of one or more pictures using the camera, enter the weight, enter the dimension.
Once the edit is done, tap on Next to move to the next task or use one of the above navigation, see note above.
a) Parcel type selection or selection from a drop-down: tap on the parcel type or a choice in the selection.
b) Text, description or weight entry: tap in the field and enter the information.
Type the information then tap on Next to move to next task.
c) Package dimension: Tap in the dimension and make the change.
d) Picture: Tap on the camera icon, select Camera, take a picture, tap Use Photo or Retake if you wish to retake the picture and discard the current one, enter an optional text and tap Done.
e) Scan a barcode: Tap on the barcode field, this will open the camera view to scan the barcode.
Scan the barcode or tap on the keyboard to enter manually then tap OK.
Delete a Parcel With an Add Item Workflow
1) On the Stop Detail, clicking on the Items > will open the Order Items Details.

View Driver Settlements
Driver settlement reports can be viewed from the Driver App.
On the Home tab, scroll to the bottom to see the last settlement report.
Tap on the settlement to open the settlement report list.
Tap on any settlement to view its details.
