At Risk Orders

Dispatch Science provides tools to help identify and manage orders that are at risk of being late. These features ensures that your operations remain efficient and your customers stay satisfied.

Only Orders with a Service Level where the At Risk Threshold (minutes) is set will be verified for At Risk status.

How Dispatch Science determines if an Order is At Risk of being late

The rule to determine if an Order is At Risk will depend on if the Order has an ETA or not.

Orders without an ETA

Orders without an ETA would be orders that are not yet dispatched to a Driver or orders that are dispatched but where the Drivers is not on duty or not sharing his location.

The Current time is compared against the Due Time or pickup/delivery window end.

  • Order is At Risk if the difference between the Current time and end window, for the pickup or the delivery, is within the defined number of minutes set on the Service Level.

Orders with an ETA

Orders with an ETA would be orders that are dispatched to Drivers where the Driver is on duty and sharing his location. In this case, the stops would be optimized and an ETA would be assigned to each stop.

In this case the ETA is compared against the Due Time or pickup/delivery window end.

  • Order is At Risk if the difference between the ETA and end window, for the pickup or the delivery, is within the defined number of minutes set on the Service Level .
  • Order is At Risk if the ETA is after the pickup or delivery's end windows.
