Problem: Users are unable to place orders on multiple accounts due to the restriction that limits an email address to a single account.
Solution: To allow users to place orders on multiple accounts, you can utilize the master account feature. Follow these steps:
1. Create a Master Account:
- Follow the process described in this article: New Features for Release 1.21.
2. Add Accounts to the Master Account:
- On the master account, add the two accounts that need to be shared.
3. Assign Email Addresses:
- Enter the email address of the user who should have access to both accounts.
- The system will display the list of accounts, with the checkbox for the account where the user is already added checked. Ensure the other account is also selected.
4. Import Addresses:
- Navigate to Settings > System > Addresses.
- Use the import feature for contacts.
- Import the addresses specific to one account into that account.
- Import the addresses for the other account into the respective account.
- If addresses are shared, import them into both accounts.
5. Order Creation:
- When placing an order, the user will select the account where they want to place the order.
- They will have access to their own contact list (under their username) and the address list of the selected account.
By setting up a master account and configuring shared access, users will be able to place orders on multiple accounts seamlessly.
